WHO IS TEAM FINISH WELL ENDURANCE?

We like to say we are a team of passionate people.  We are passionate about endurance sports.  We are passionate about life.  Mostly, we are passionate about helping people find life through a vibrant and real relationship with Jesus Christ.  We are comprised of men and women, husbands, wives, moms, dads, and students of different skill levels and ages who participate in a variety of events.  You will find teammates in organized bike rides, coaching, riding in charity events, track events, riding the trails with their family, conquering obstacle races, 5ks, marathons, and triathlons from sprints to full iron distances.  We sincerely desire to help out our friends in the endurance sport community in practical and meaningful ways.  That means we want to help you get from the couch to a 5k, fix your flat tire, learn your way around event venues, share an energy gel, as well as deal with some of the real issues we all face in life outside the race course.

Ultimately, Finish Well Endurance exists to encourage athletes to pursue true victory in the ultimate endurance sport, life.  We work hard physically to train our bodies to excel on race day, and physical training certainly has value, but there is a finish line far more significant than those we cross through the course of our racing seasons.  The apostle Paul, a follower of Jesus, perhaps said it best. “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize?  Run in such a way as to get the prize.  Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training.  They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.”  (1 Cor 9:24-25 NIV)

There is a prize that will never tarnish, rust, or fade and there is a way of life that leads to true joy and fulfillment, both here and in the life to come.  To finish well is to live life as God truly designed us to live it, in a dynamic and intimate relationship with him.  We at Finish Well Endurance strive to clearly present Jesus Christ as the Way to that real life.
